Sleigh rides are done mostly weekends.
We offer sleigh rides weather permitting and our availability.
It takes the right amount of snow; it takes the right temperatures and the right consistence of snow to do rides.
So in order to do them we need to see the snow and the temperature for that day.
We most likely will not call more then 2 days before.
We do not make the snow nor can we predict when the snow will fall.
You think the weatherman has issues don’t count on me.
Ice is a big problem it cuts legs.
Too much snow is a problem horses can not walk in deep snow.
Warm temperatures will cause runners to go straight to the ground and makes it hard to pull and very bumpy.
Because a normal winter around here has been very poor only doing 5 rides in 2010.
WE HAVE DONE 12 as of Feb-4th SO FAR in 2011 AFTER MAKING 50 CALLS.
We do not sit around and wait for the snow, snow here most times only last a few days.
Hopefully some year we will get an old fashion snow till then we do what we can.
In the winter we have indoor events such as horse shows and expos, weddings, bridal shows and other events.
So if we get the perfect snow we could be booked to do something else.
Also we use the winter months for some time off since we work 7 days a week from April to January.

Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides for 2012 will be done with this new burgundy colored sleigh made for the road or on snow. Can't get enough of that white snow .
Here along the Blue Mountains of Berks County when it snows its breath taking, I ride the 4 passenger horse drawn sleigh for hours across the open fields, over the hills
and through Stoudts orchards we go. we have 2 trails that run
along the Blue Mountains, one lasting an hour and another that goes for a 1/2 hour.
We cross over fields along horse farms where they raise horses,
what a beautiful site to watch the young horses running in the snow.
DON'T FORGET YOUR CAMERA !!
The Blue Mountains are just beautiful when covered in snow, as we travel through
the orchards we may come across deer and other wild life in search of food or just playing in the snow.
Dave, Dallas, Doc, Rowdy, Bob and Mack love this time of year the cool air feels good to them, cause
by now they have a winter coat and they are more then willing to get out
of the barn and go sleigh riding.
The horse drawn sleigh rides are held at Mountain Springs Rodeo Arena 1 mile north on Mountain rd off rte 78, 6miles west of Cabela's
